What is ByteGate?
ByteGate is an access control system for businesses that want to control and monitor who enters their locations.
Whether you run one store or multiple sites, ByteGate gives you remote control from anywhere, real-time visibility of who's accessing your space, and complete access records whenever you need them.
How It Works
Each ByteGate installation has three simple components:
1. Controller at Each Door
A reliable industrial computer at each entry with a QR code scanner and small display screen. It works independently with its own built-in memory, so access continues working even if your internet goes down.
2. Your Personal Dashboard
Access it from your phone, tablet, or computer – from anywhere. Monitor who's entering in real-time, control doors remotely, and check your access records whenever you need them.
3. Mobile Access
Use the dashboard directly from your phone by saving it to your home screen – just like an app. No need to download anything from an app store or pay app store fees. It's faster to set up and costs less.
What You Can Do
Open Doors Remotely
Stuck in a meeting? A delivery person waiting outside? Open the door from your phone with one click. Works from anywhere.
See Who's Coming and Going
Real-time view of everyone entering your locations. Track busy times, understand traffic patterns, know when you need more staff.
Control Who Gets In
Easily add or remove people's access instantly. Staff members can have 24/7 access while regular customers follow your opening hours. Changes happen immediately.
Set Operating Hours Automatically
Tell the system your opening hours once. Outside those hours, the door stays locked and shows customers a message: "We're open 6 AM - 11 PM. Please come back then."
Know Your Equipment Is Working
See which controllers are online and functioning properly. Get alerts immediately if something goes wrong – no surprises.
Keep Complete Records
Access history whenever you need it – who came, when they came, which location. Export data for your records or any analysis you need.
Works When Internet Is Down
Each controller has its own memory. If your internet drops, customers can still enter using stored data. Everything automatically syncs back when connection returns.
